Doubt about short sell

#1
hi all
I am new to share market
I have some doubts

If I am bullish on a particular stock , I can buy and hold it .
if I am bearish on a particular stock only thing I can buy an option(put), but unfortunately only 200 share are there in derivative segment otherwise i can short that stock , but in my knowledge short selling only for day trade

my doubt is

one month before " Midfield Industries Ltd. " market price was 430 and now its only 112.

what happen if i short sell midfield at 430 , can I buy back now, I mean after 30 days

because i had seen so many tips like sell something for 15 days , or 30 days etc. what does it mean

plase help me

Santosh,

As per my knowledge this stock is traded Only on BSE and not on NSE, If you short in equity you need to square off else it will be put for auction and you will be charged a penalty , most of the times it will be auctioned at a very high price .

I would suggest you check with your broker if you are allowed to short in equities as some brokers( Banks) do not allow this.

Best Wishes,
Nithin.

SLB is offered only for fno stocks so the above does not qualify. First ask your broker if he allows such transactions.:)
