dematerialisation charges

Hi everyone,
I have some physical shares which i want to dematerialise.

Can anyone plese tell me ..
Is there any charge for dematerialisation of physical certificates??

I know that CDSL does not levy any charge for dematerialisation of securities
but DP'S does take dematerialisation charges

can anubody inform me how much DP charge???
Is it dependent on the number of shares to be dematerialise???
