some golmaal reported on tv some 130 crore rs share shorted in cash market 1 week back via slb route
any other link/source of news to refer it ?

But golmaal in this context looks small as the OFS is around 1400Cr, ie. 28% stake and all this valued at floor price of 3500.
130Cr would be 9% at OFS rate but entry would have been at higher rates so looks like more like 80Cr to 1400Cr. Pretty big no doubt.

Ofc many including exch officials would have know about it more than a couple of weeks ago so that kind of insider leaks cannot be tied directly with mgmt or Co. Also, sebi vigilance does flag and investigate such transactions especially before Corporate action.
getting at ofs rate isn't a bad deal :)

it's in news. not 'golmaal' as such, but someone borrowed lots of shares and sold it through SLB. they will mint money (could already have as stock is down 10%)

that's why everyone is selling, sell now and get it cheaper later.
In my experience OFS are sure shot way of sell now and buy cheap route.. recently Bajaj Fin, Kotak Bank, DMart...

You didn't mention yesbank :DD
Ppl shorted the hell out of it before FPO

Just learned that we should "bid" higher than the floor price(3500)
To increase the probability of getting share we can select "cut off price"
Not sure when there is more bidded shares than being offered. (lottery system?)
There will generally be an indicative price based on today's non-retail response to help retailers... for retail we have the option to bid on cutoff price, the rough idea for which is given in indicative price or we can place a priced bid...for over subscription proportional system will be used...
Btw what is the allotment procedure/methodology for this one - all allotment on bid price or all on cutoff price?
