Sad end of a good idea.People started using malicious and fraudulent means just to win the prize money and get the credit ??

ST
Dada !! frauds are endless...in the name of academies or trading education to tipster.......

Even there are tons of methods from indicator trading to price action in this forum, people are running through website's..
Even many fellow traders always ready to help a query...

IN SIMPLE THEY ARE CASHING PEOPLES GREED FOR HOLIGRAIL

That is like fergeting the spirit of the competition ...it is like multiple IDs people open in our forum for dubious activities, like multiple applications people used to put in the public issues.

Smart_trade
Every competition, at whatever level, witnesses some dubious activities. I could name IPL and Ben Johnson etc..etc.. ad infinitum.

It is the responsibility of the organizers to maintain the best possible level of security. That would be maintaining the spirit of competition and participation.

Two play the game, the organizers as well as the participants.

Anyway, if a face-saver doesn't present itself soon, Zerodha will have a failure on their record.

why dont they limit the play only for clients
They probably wanted more people to participate ( but not with 50 IDs) and they want their name to go far and wide ( good advertisement for them )restricting only to their clients does not serve both.

Zerodha's Notice on Crowd.in website :)

Notice!
As of Fri 21 Nov, 2014, the 1 lakh cash prize is being discontinued. We have been forced to do this in light of the large amounts of fraudulent and malicious activity we're seeing, aimed at the cash reward. Our sincere apologies to the current players, and our congratulations to the many winners over the last few months. We hope to bring back the cash prize in the near future.

Yes, it is a publicity effort, like all such contests. Could be better planned, better organized.

By now, over the years, we have seen that initially Zerodha isn't much outside their domain i.e. trading. For broking business, they had a lot of guidance and experience of Reliance Money staff.

They have some wonderful ideas, given that, but execution wise, they need to do things over and over again to get it right, and understand that there are specialists for various activities :D

Reminds me of the doctors, who are very expert in their own fields. They usually are hell to work with because they think that they know better than the person doing whatever job, be it a carpenter or electrician or whatever :D :D

Doesn't hurt of hire specialists to turn your ideas into reality, and to give a very serious consideration to the specialists' guidance.
