The icons for system apps i.e. phone, messages, camera - they don't have the app name below them like the other apps i.e. youtube, whatsapp etc.

How do I display the names of the system apps.

Google wasn't much help.

Phone is Samsung Galaxy M01

For the Apps below the 3 dots,names won’t be shown. if you drop them on main screens, names will be shown.

Tried that 10-12 times. No result. Changed themes, icons, wall paper etc.

Couldn't find anything in the settings either.

Yeah, I need it to be shown. It's for my 90 year old mother. I tried everything at my end.

As a workaround, remove all unwanted apps, keep only one screen and move the apps from below the dots to screen. If you can’t remove all the apps, create a folder and move them in, expect apps for call, camera.

Will keep looking for a way to show the labels. The screen is already at the minimum.

Simplest soln is to edit or add a background wall-paper with App names exactly below the system apps icons !

It may not be a perfect one, but solves the problem in a jiffy !

yes, all processed honey is just sugar syrup, natural honey is not at all heavy...
