Not massive its just doubled this month :)



Last 2 months it was less by about 20%, so was expecting 40-50% jump
As reading was done after 3 months, but there is definitely some Jhol :DD

For our apartment building the excess on average would be about Rs 200 / per meter / per month

Not really massive, but for people who did not pay or forgot about it, it will be 300%

There has been an upward revision of power tariffs effective 1 Apr 2020. I think in most states, state and private electricity companies have implemented it.
I thought the governments were announcing relief packages for these :confused:

It will keep happening every couple of years. Although most of contracts were given on fixed per MW rates, now private generators/distributors says they cannot generate at the tender prices! Matter was in court, so govt asked SC not to make Power NPA's as NPA. and meanwhile rules are updated to increase per MW rates.
