This post is less about security instead about two little problems some of us may face with Youtube links. Let's say you want to download any Youtube music video, now how to do with out installing any specific software to your OS?

Solution to this: You just place two "ss" in front of any Youtube link. Let's take for example this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP_fUo9a_mg . Now you put in the two ss and then it looks like this: https://www.[B]ss[/B]youtube.com/watch?v=YP_fUo9a_mg .

That's it. Now choose your download format (MP4 or what ever you like) and enjoy the video when ever you want.

This link you showed does not work with it. I for the first time got the message: This file can not be downloaded via our service. Try to use programs that could download streaming media files.

I now checked it again with this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zKVnpUIJPY and it worked. I even checked it with this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUmPsw8mBeY and it worked.

Seems they have some kind of restricted access to certain files in certain regions. Did not know this.

Thanks to inform about that and sorry that it not works in this specific case and probably in others in your region.

I tried it through Tor browser, got the same result. So I don't think that it is region-specific; It must be file-specific. Maybe the owners of that file have some kind of advertising arrangement with youtube.

I can download songs from that movie individually from youtube, but it seems that the full movie file is protected.

Hi

If you are a Windows user, your download capacity is limited on MB or even GB, be informed that you may are cheated by Windows, as in certain cases they do download a 6GB file on your OS by not even asking you if you want it. I mean with all my respect to the company: How sick must a company become to even do so??
