Hi

I would like to start a thread about cyber crime and espionage. The thread is not meant to be a course to become a hacker. We all use day by day the INTERNET and we are in danger and targeted all the way along from the moment on we go on line until we disconnect from the net. If you hear any thing about what ever and you think it is worth to share it here, you are pleased to do so.

Did you ever here about Flamer? Flamer, the worlds most discrete and dangerous piece of malware ever.

Adobe Flash patch 11.3 causes crashes with Firefox 13. How to resolve that problem as Firefox 13 is the newest version and most already have upgraded there browsers.

http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Firefox-13-tripped-up-by-Flash-patch-1619399.html

It not happens many times in the past that downgrading for any kind of such problem was recommended from a big player like adobe and that is why this information is valued as important.

Update: Firefox has acted in this case very fast and already updated there browser to 13.01 which fixes the problem. Well done :clapping: as this not happens to often. Would appreciate if all software developer would act as fast as those company.

Many times on internet you will see website which offer free user name and pass to many pay sites or restricted site where login are required (including some xxx sites)

well most of those user name and pass are hacked from pc's and posted on site.i.e. given to public.

My pc was hacked once. All pass for sites were psoted to some sites including my traderji ID and pass.

I was curios how it happened. i found it.
Basically the id and pass I stored in firefox and internet explorer were stolen.

Never store your password in browser. they are easy to hack

An exploit for the recently disclosed critical hole in Microsoft XML Core Services is now publicly available as a module for the Metasploit exploit framework. The vulnerability can be exploited to execute remote code via specially crafted pages in Internet Explorer; Office 2003 and 2007 are also vulnerable. Although the exploit currently only works with Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 in IE6 and IE7 under Windows XP (SP3), the hole generally affects all supported versions of Windows. Read more:

And here is the fix it link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2719615

Sad to hear that your PC was hacked. It many times happen through the browser you use. In case you use very often Mozilla Firefox, you should use the following link and download a few of this add on. There are many mores :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=noscript&platform=WINNT&appver=13.0.1

Here in Europe, IE is avoided from many as it is not valued as very safe. It is personal choice, but I am with Firefox.

Hi

The following is one of the best free software to protect your computer beside any other INTERNET security software. It is called: Spybot-S&D

A few years ago I had once a problem with my system and my security Internet provider checked the system via remote control. During that session they recommended me Spybot-S&D as its functionality not disrupts the functionality of other Internet security software.

You have to install the application given in the following link and you have to install detection updates. If you like you can expand your installation with the RunAlyzer, FileAlyzer and RegAlyzer. After installation you run your first scan in which you may will be asked to restart your computer. That is fine.

Updates are once a week, usually on Wednesday.

Security concerns over Firefox's "new tab" thumbnail feature

One of the new features in the recent Firefox 13 release is raising security concerns from privacy-conscious users: when users open a new tab in version 13 of the open source web browser, they are presented a grid of the nine most visited pages, each with its own screenshot thumbnail. These thumbnails could be displaying private information though. Read more:

Coming Monday (10. July 2012) all computers which are affected with the following will be disconnected from the net: Ghost-Klick-DNSChanger botnet. Your last chance to check if you are infected!

Welcome

Welcome to the Anti-Botnet-Advisory Centre, a service from eco Association of the German Internet Industry with financial support from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

On this page you can check whether the DNS settings of your home network or your computer have been manipulated. On November 11th, the Ghost-Klick-DNSChanger botnet was taken down by the FBI. You can check here if your computer is compromised by this malware that changes dns settings on your computer or your home network.
DNS-Check in 3 Steps

This wizard guides you step by step through the test. To perform the test you have to agree to the transmission of the data indicated below by enabling the checkbox. In the second step, we check both dns-ok.de and a database operated by us with the DNS data provided by FBI. On the result page you'll be shown if there is a likely manipulation of your DNS settings and in that case additionally a link with further instructions for your operating system.
