Hello Traders,
Could someone please advise me on how to make a custom index of stocks and then do technical analysis on the same?

use SetForeign to add the ticker symbols to the afl after fixing the weightage.
TA is the same for it as on anything else and backtest before use.

no idea about tradingview.
If you are a serious trader, better maintain your own database. it can be used to add your own comments and custom indicators which cannot be done from websites.

What do you mean under custom index? Do you have an idea that you'd want to make as underlying principle of the index?

Hi...basically I want to create a mini index of the nifty 50 so I can add stocks and do TA for a combined subset of stocks.Like for example if I only want to look at a chart of the top 5 constituents combined in single portfolio.
