Obama must be kidding. India is far from being a world power. It cannot even
recover areas of Kashmir which are an integral part of this country and occupied
by Pakistan from that country. It cannot fight China and recover the Indian
territory from the clutches of China. It cannot ask China to free Tibet. It
cannot feed millions of its starving people. It cannot provide safe drinking
water, sanitation, healthcare and nutrition to its people living below the
poverty line. It cannot check corruption, tax evasion and smuggling. It cannot
even act against Pakistani agents like Arundhati Roy, Geelani, Stone Pelters,
etc. What sort of a world power is it?

Most probably he meant India to be a world power in corruption. Look. Right from Bofors to Kargil coffin scam to CWG scam to Adarsh Housing Society scam to the latest 2G scam, the looted amount has grown bigger and bigger in size. And now we have a new definition for high morale. Just make money by corruption and then resign. Then everyone praises the person and the party stating that it has taken a very high moral ground in asking the corrupt to resign. Then we will have investigations by various agencies and committees, which will never ever complete during one's (I meant once gandchildren's) lifetime. Ofcourse, court cases are always there to drag on the matter without harming any of these corrupt people. And the greatest advantage of putting the matter before the court is that one need not explain, let alone explain, say anything about the scam and can avoid being held responsible altogether just by saying that matter is under subjudice. Enjoy the looted the money for the rest of the life and for the life of ten generations next.
