Some colleagues mentioned, since last couple of months, we have been tied up sitting at home. Will go along with family for temple visits/darshan on 9th Onwards ... :D:D
I was unable to convince them of the risk, but it seems that's how Indians are.

When there is no treatment for the common man, there is no requirement for testing. Why test for something, and if found positive, do nothing about it, as there are no medicines currently to treat it ?

They need to test / check only those who have symptoms of disease e.g. Breathing problems, etc.
Crores of rupees being spent on tests with no results other than statistics being generated.

Indian people need to think more long term instead of temporary relief.

Ahmedabad : Covid test? No hospital stay needed
Amdavadis will be able to seek Covid-19 test based on prescription by specialist doctor with MD degree: DyCM

The new testing policy will come into effect today. This essentially means that the requirement for Covid suspect to be hospitalized before testing has been removed from Gujarat’s testing policy, said senior doctors in Ahmedabad.

PCR tests to detect Covid-19 not fully reliable, says CCMB study

In a finding that could have widespread ramifications, researchers at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, have found that about 50% of Covid-19 positive samples tested through the standard RT-qPCR test may not yield the correct result. The CCMB scientists found a high percentage of false negative cases while comparing the RT-qPCR with a new test method developed by the them.
