SEBI is a watchdog for retail investors/traders, anything which affects them comes under the purview of SEBI. for e.g there is no link on the NSE website which has transaction charges charged by NSE on all instruments, which is going to be my next complaint.
regarding realtime datafeed on the NSE website, it affects investment/trading decisions of all retail investors and traders, therefore it comes under the purview of SEBI.
NSE is also selling historical data thru its website, the data which is generated by millions of investors/traders by paying NSE transaction fees, that data should be free, beacuse it has already been paid for
