. I am NRI. I have cp code from NSE with HDFC securities as my clearing member. Can I trade through any other discount trader like RKSV, Zerodha? I want to trade in F&O segment. HDFC securities are very expensive for trading purpose. Please advise.

Contacted them, it seems the people answering calls/mails have very limited knowledge on issues related to nri trading. understandably as nris constitute small minority among traders.

You can trade through anyone you want. Just open a trading account with any one of your choice. You will have to send them proof (xerox) of demat account with any one broker (HDFC in your case).

NRI's cannot day trade. Some rules are there like this, don't know all.
Best is to open account as resident Indian with Indian address.

>>Please advise.
Unless you already know how to trade you will keep on losing money. Guaranteed.
Learn some trading course (many free ones are there on web).
Read several books.
Demo/paper trade.
Then think of real trade.
