FII,DII,Retailers,Mutual Funds..

1.Who are the others?

2.Do Mutual Funds come under the category of DII s or are they a separate group?

Others include scalpers,daytraders, vyaj badla financers, swing traders,chart traders,algo traders,High Frequency Traders or HFTs,position traders,orderflow traders,tape readers,hedge funds,pair traders.....

DII = Mutual Funds
The other group is proprietary trading companies.

2 problems however:

1. Clients,NRI & Proprietary stats are given only for BSE (NSE not included).Where to get the combined data for both the exchanges?

2. Total Cash market turnover for 9/6/2015,for BSE only ( link http://www.moneycontrol.com/stocks/marketstats/turnover/) is found by adding which values from the first link?
