Can Indian resident Citizen trade in US Derivatives (Futures) Market?

Hi,

I am a Resident Indian. I wish to invest in US derivatives (stocks). I have few Questions in regards with it.
1) Whether it is allowable under FEMA (LRS)?
2) If Yes, is there a requirement to get prior permission from RBI?
3) What about US taxation applicability?

and welcome in the forum. Trading in the US market needs in general a bit more money compare to India market. Do never forget that.

I have developed algorithmic trading strategies for NASDAQ and NYSE.As far as I know you can do it as long as the amount is below $150,000 and open an account in Interactive Brokers.
