I have some physical shares bought 15 - 18 yrs ago.

Cosmos Leather Exports Ltd- 100 shares on nov 1993.
East West Travel & Trade Links Ltd- 100 shares on sep 1994.
Floatglass India Ltd- 100 shares on sep 1994
Asahi India Glass ltd- 37 shares sep 2005.
Ratnakar leasing Ltd- 500 on dec 1992.

Is there any thing i can do with these Shares.

Is an contact of the registrar mentioned on the shares, or do you have any thing about it?

As far as I know, atleast Asahi Glass is in trading now. Don't know about other ones. You can google to check of the companies have changes their name, merged with another company and given shares of other company in swap, shut down, bought back, split into divisions, etc.

If the company has changed its names, or merged with other and issued share in swap, split, etc. you can contact the registrar and transfer agent to get the new shares and/or dematerialize the shares.

I hope the shares are in your name and you would be having a demat account by now. If not, demat account can be opened very conveniently with any broker.

Floatglass India is Tata share registry ltd Bombay

East west travel & trade links is Karvy Consultants private ltd Hyderabad.

Is there any particular procedure for transferring to demat account.

You can contact the registrar and ask for the dematerialization procedure. You will need to have the share certificates in good condition with no and holder name in good conditions. The registrar will transfer the shares accordingly. He will also adjust the shares for any bonus, split, swap, etc.

Dont know about others but Asahi India is very much there : BSE code 515030, last quote on 20th was ~86/- per Re.1/ Face value share.

Maybe some name change etc. Do surf BSE site.
