can anybody tell me abt futures and options ??

Hi All

I am a noob @ futures and options..I tried reading from google but didn't understand much :confused:..can anybody explain me what are futures and options in simplest language..

plz take this example

If I want to BUY one futures from above list

1. What does expiry date mean ?
2. What is LTP ?

Second scenario : If I want to SELL one futures from above list

. What does expiry date mean ?
2. What is LTP ?

I will ask about options later when somebody answers my futures query first
