I have a rather small and simple query about BUY, SELL and SHORT. I will explain my query with the help of an example.
Suppose i BUY 100 shares of ABC @ price of 100. Now lets say the trend changed and ABC becomes 95. Now what i do is that i SHORT 100 shares of ABC at 95. Now my query is that, the moment i SHORT 100 shares, will that imply that:
1) I have simply SELL them as the quantity of BUY and SHORT is same viz 100 or
2) Do i first need to SELL these 100 shares and then do SHORT or
3) Simply doing SHORT of 200 shares will imply 100 shares SELL and remaining 100 shares SHORT.?
