which timeframe best for intraday trading? I prefer 30 min. Please suggest
It differs from trader to trader.

My view & current TF usage:

For commodity intraday; 30m should be the entry/exit TF, 2H for short trend, Daily for overall trend. When all TF aligns, enter trade.

just an advice ... For intra day trading... do not trade for like starting
15% of daily average volume has reached....

Reason is ....

during this phaze... you will get the high and opening rate of script.

and if u see higher of high then up trend confirm.
No short selling .hold position if u have bought previously.

if u see price breaking Average price then go Short like mad ...

and it;s commodity you cann;t win in intraday.unless u are TA Expert

only Govt wins by CTT tax thats your half profit. (CTT Cut Traders Targetprofit to half lol)
especially in Gold

Above method works perfect for NRML orders :)

Happy trading.

i might me wrong but
I feel only they make money in intraday ...

1 min gold lot

profit
day 1 intra day profit R.s 1000
day 2 intraday trading R.s 800
day 3 intraday trading R.s 700
day 4 loss R.s 2500 ...moral you end up loss + net loss CTT+Tax transcation charge. Govt wins r.s 450

On wise versa

Non intra day trading = profit of R.s 1600 in 1 week time govt gets R.s 55

and in extreme case u end up paying R.s 60000 per lot in case u don;t cut yout loss .u become buy and hope.
say u bought 1 lot at r.s 31600 and current rate is R.s 26600

so better to cutt loss at 30% of your capital :) on NRML that how i operate in that case loss will be 4500

so summarry is we risk loss of 4500 against profit of R.s 1600 lol

thats my true story .

so if u reading this :-- samajdar ko isara kafia hai. this system are designed to take your money away.

All said above lol when i sit on terminal All rules will be broken and i will forget my so called " Rules of trading loool " trust me that happens a lot with me

Hi All,

I am new to commodity trading. Can anyone tell me which timeframe is good for trading MCX?
Very wrong question to ask in any public forum / or any one for that matter ...

In trading (does not matter what you trade), what is good for me, might not be good for you ... What is best for you can turn out to be worst for me ...

You should ask all trading related questions to yourself ...

Just to help you, this question depends on your equity size, your risk appetite, your R2R, Your emotional strength etc ...

My two cents, though ...

Very true..
I prefer 15 mins. Whenever I tried with 5 min candle, it results in loss for me.
But I have seen in many threads that most of the traders prefer 5 mins candle.
So trading time frame depends on person to person and should be self explored.

I prefer identifying trend or momentum using 1 Hr TF , then enter in 15min time frame for intraday....for posiitonal use daliy TF to identify trend/monentum and enter based on 1hr TF

really the best timeframe for any trading instrument is to catch the moves from smaller timeframe with the help and direction of the bigger timeframe .....like MTF strategies
