A trader should practice Yoga!
Yoga means the union with the univ ersal force or energy.Your inner core is built up with that single force. It is
that force you are spending for every day as thought energy ,physical energy and even for the sexual activities.
You are spending that energy and accumulating that the same one.
Trading is a dificult task .It will burn your recervoir of soul energy. The happenings in the day trading will exhuast
this reservior. You can't do day trading for a long time unless you know how to replace the out going thought energy. No trading strategies is
enough powerful to prevent loss of money and more impotantly the human vitrality .
You need to recharge your body with the vital force every day in order to survive in this job.Otherwise the more talented and energetic
persones will take your money from your account. So in a sense this vital force is the root cause of making moneny and lossing money.
The recharge process: There are many methods.Out of which the most effective way is the Meditation.
One should sit for meditation in the early morning .Meditation may happen or not.But defenetly you will experience the flow of energy
after siting for meditation. The whole the system of meditation is the energy caapturing one.Even though you do it carelesly you will benefit from it.
Meditation is essentialy deconcentration. But to reach that state is difficult. As i said early the method itself is revitalising
you better concentrate on the method and not for the thoughtless stage.it may come or not.Do not worry about it.What you want is the free enegy.
It will getin plenty if you sit in the morning for meditation for some time.

Hello,

1) Physical health can be maintained by...like u said...yoga/Physical exercises(gym..etc)..with proper diet.

2) Maintaining Mental Health is little bit difficult.....to achieve high/optimum level of Mental stability/state ,you need to do/incorporate following things, particularly if ur a Full time trader.

a) Self Analysis.
b) Mental Rehearsal
c) Daily debriefing
d) periodic review.

some general things which will also effect ur psychology....

1.People Around you.
2.people in ur Family.
3.People u often interact with.
4.ur beleifs
5.ur Biases

and there r some other things which change from person to person.

DEAR friend,
I can say some thing about what i practically know.
Though i have only little experience in day trading,i found it quiet difficult to make the mind in stability. That is the calmness of the mind is decreasing gradualy when involving in trading daily.
The effective method to revitalise the mind and the body is to suck the "prana' or cosmic energy from the atmosphere. It is available in plenty in early morning.Sit preferly in padmasana posture facing your
body to north direction.Place your hands on kneels(meditation posture).Spine should be errect.Release the whole
body nerves tention.Close your eyes.Breath relaxly. You can then do the buddist meditation(ie aware your incoming
breath and out going breath and the interval between the breaths)or you can simply concentrate on the heart chackra
or third eye(the point between the eye brows).Do not try to empty your thoughts. It will come and go.But try to watch it as
it is.This process will recharge you soul, which is only energy you have. All other energies are
mere subordinatives.Do meditation in an isolated room.Meditation will cause the normalisation of pranic energy flowing in
the body.If prana is flowing with out any hindrance ,your breath will become relaxed which in turn will relax your mind.
That calmness you are experiencing in meditation will normly persist in whole day.
Another effective method is doing "pranayama".Prana is not oxygen. It is a cosmic element. It is vital force freely
available in early morning. Also doing "surya namaskara"is very effective. It is not an exersise. It is a yoga.Doing it every
day will purify the blood and also will help to flow the pranic energy in the body to smoothly. Then a calmness will
naturally come by itself. And also hearing music is quiet effective in reducing the hindrance in the nerves pranic energy
flow and thus the mental tention. If you are tense you are burning your energy reservoir.A tense person can never enjoy life as
well as trading.
The other effective method to smooth out the vital force flowing in the body is by doing "sheershasana"(inverted head
posture). It is very effective if you can stand in inverted head posture for atleast 30 minute. It will, not only energise
your skull but will result in spiritual growth and thus the mental growth.Your thought vibration will strengthen gradualy.
These are all yogas. The effectiveness of this will depend upon what you think and what you eat.
Prana in the body will not flow rethumeticaly if your thought is negative and the food is un sathick.A singer can control
his prana(his voice) more effortlessly if he is a vegetarian.

Thanks,
Syam.

Meditation means to drop everything which is in one’s memory and to come to state where only consciousness remains,
where only awareness remains. Meditation is a state when only consciousness remains without an object.

What we practice is not meditation in the real sense; it is only a concept. But meditation will happen on its own through this.
Try to understand that what we practice in the morning, exercises involving the breath, is all a discipline, it is not meditation.
Through this discipline a moment will come when the breath will seem to have disappeared. Through this discipline a moment will come when the body seems to have disappeared and thoughts have also disappeared.
What will remain when everything has disappeared? When everything has disappeared, that which is left behind is called meditation.

As it is individual’s own journey there cannot be a common experience for all. There is no way to say what one person should or will feel during meditation; everyone will experience it differently. It depends upon the temperament, level of concentration, place of concentration and various other factors. Some hear melodious sounds in the ears. Some see lights. Some get extreme happiness (spiritual bliss). Some get both sounds and lights. During meditation, some may experience that they are rising from your seat. Some experience that they fly in the air. Some say they feel an awareness of everything while concentrating on nothing. Others say they reach a state of complete mental silence, where they are fully conscious and in control of their minds. While there is no way to say what one will mentally feel or experience, there are different mental, physical feelings depending on the meditation technique you are using.

So why do we feel these different feelings while meditating? Because as we open our minds by using meditation techniques, we give up control of our thoughts and may feel or think something that is unpleasant, just as we may feel or think something that is soothing and blissful. There is no right or wrong way to feel while meditating. How you feel is how you feel; in keeping with true mindfulness, notice your feelings but don’t judge them.

Meditation can be an effective form of stress reduction and has the potential to improve quality of life. Meditation involves achieving a state of ‘thoughtless awareness’ in which the excessive stress producing activity of the mind is neutralized without reducing alertness and effectiveness. Meditation enables one to focus on the present moment rather than dwell on the unchangeable past or undetermined future.

My above post is for the newbies who have less capital and is inexperienced as me.
The proffetionals do not need any yoga as they have inborn capabilities to withstand in market difficulties, that is why they became proffetionals.
To the newcomers i requet them to do atleast one thing.Go outside in the morning
and engage in any physical game.If it is not possible, then take some deep breeths and then run for some time. Then your body will become warm and the enrgy of the air breethed in will flow to
the whole body and a natural calmness will come and that day will a winning one because they are being centered now.

An oil lamp cann't be blown if there is no air.and with the help of the air if the lamp is lighted
it gives light to the surroundings.who gives the light to the lamp?It is the air.So it is the creator.
And if you put the lamp in a locked box it will not be blown, because there is no air inside.
So,who is the preserver? it is the air.
And in order to annihilate the light the same air can be used, by blowing it out.So who is
the annihilator? It is the air,the vital force. It is the allmighty.it is inside the body and as well as outside.
