Impatient Trader
Thanks a lot for all the feedback.

The data server is not cleaned yet, I thought this was mentioned already. But some of the feedback you all have mentioned is great. We will have it fixed before the next release. Also today was a mock market, don't know if any of you have ever traded on it, but the behavior is quite errratic.

Coming back to, can you compare this to esignal and ami? I have never mentioned that it will be an esignal, ami or meta.

How can YOU? :)

This is our first beta release, and you are comparing to platforms that have been in existence for over a decade. You are comparing something that we are looking at offering for free charging you Rs 20 per trade (25 cents) to those which cost way way way more.

I know someone will come back and comment that MT4 is given free by a lot of brokers, but let me tell you this MT4 is all CFD's and they don't have to talk to any exchange servers. Even Ami doesn't, just esignal does.

Modulus just gives components, there is a huge amount of work that has gone in to put it all up together and to get it approved by Indian exchanges (which let me tell you has not been easy).

Hopefully you will have realistic expectation, don't compare us to ami or meta or esignal. One of the reason we have built the bridge. You will get the best trading platform in the country in Pi and at almost the lowest trading costs.
Hi Zerodha,

I am very much IMPRESSED with the first IMPRESSION of Pi... you have done very good work.....

Things must have in Pi.....

1. Charts DATA of hi low candles...for example Yesterday BNF CHART was showing LOW of 15472(or somewhat) even after reconcile... and that on NEST and the actual low are 15462.

The one most important thing on NEST intra charts is that it gives accurate low and high candles..... so we can refer them for trading.. (I do many trades based on 1 min CHARTS)

This is the one thing has to thing about. ( Even the same problem is always there with sharekhan TT it also misses some points when some volatile lows or highs made in a fraction)

2. For most other things on charting I request you even though we can not expect the things like AMI/ESIGNAL... but we can have features like SHAREKHAN TT.... for charting...

I will give deatil features/improvements(my suggestions) needed .. in a MAIL....which are realistic.

I am sure you people will IMPROVE it day by day.

Of course no software becomes as they are today in one day.

Thanks for the great INITIATIVE.

I must say what you DARE to do noone even TRY to DARE .

We are with you.

You are absolutely right. At this stage there is no point in accusing that Pi is nowhere near ami or other softwares.

They have done a superb job of putting together most essential elements required for a trader. The improvements shall take some time & trials. Rome was not built in one day nor will any so called world class softwares.

However comparison helps to understand the deficiencies and advantages.

Development and maintenance of software is also a costly these days. I am not sure how this weighs in comparison to the royalty they may have to pay to omnesys.

I am mildly surprised that they stand out among the crowd in their sincere efforts to lend an ear to the requirements of their clients unlike most others.

As for charts, take a look at the charts provided by economic times. It is one of the best. The features and ease of use is unparalleled. That is the kind of chart I would expect in Pi.

Any way a warm congratulations in order for their great achievement and their endeavor to provide their clients with the best without charging a hell and to be competitive in this business.

So zerodha, a big thanks and very best wishes.

When I spoke to Nithin and said let us have a beta out for only traderji users, I told him that they will probably be our biggest critics, but I knew there will be feedback like this which will help us improve the product and speed up the go to live with our first release.

Thanks
:) Very happy to know that u r taking things in r8 sense , let me tell u one thing which makes me happy that the entrust u have gives us is appreciable, and the openness to the issues which none other brokers has shown in our Market till today,
solving problems online , tec support etc...kudos :clapping:

note:hope all problems will be solved soon and special promo for traderji members for finding out issues :D:D:cool:(Joking)

Zerodha, how come you got approval from exchange on the Beta version of the software? Will you have to get approvals for each new version that you release?

On another note, I hope you are not using traderji as your official communication forum. I logged into traderji after few days and hence missed out the opportunity to request for Pi. I hope you will be using e-mail as your primary mode of communication.

Pi is with full of erroneous data, even 30m, hourly time frames is not correct in most of cases. Traders must first check Pi with other reliable data feeds before using it from trading.
Price action traders would be finished soon, if traded with such wrong data feed for long. ;)

Waiting for a clean database with Pi first. Fancy charts with Pi is useless without Data Integrity.

Happy Trading.

Email is still official, but because we have a lot of experienced traders here and we wanted to scale upto around only 200 testing this, we did this round on traderji. We will have the next release in the next 10 days.

Exchange approves the various features and functionality, they don't really care if it is beta or live. So all features are approved, we don't have to go back to the exchange for anything everytime we have a new release.
