AMIBROKER--- Transfer of "watch list" from One PC to Another PC---Is it possible?

Dear Friends,

My query to any expert, who can guide how does the "WATCH LIST" content can be copied or Exported to another PC (new AMI installations)?

Is it possible? If so then How?

Hi pkg,

One way of transfering the watchlists is to copy each one into a text file and load the text file in the second computer. For this you right-click on watchlist and in the menu that opens select Export. Then select which watch list you want to export and also select 'File' (in the right hand bottom corner, it should be automatically selected, if not select it). Then another dialog box opens asking for file name to save. Give appropriate name and save it. Do it for each watchlist with unique name for each file. You can copy all these files in a floppy/CD/pen drive and take to other computer. In the second computer where you want this data to be copied, reverse the process. That is, right-click on an empty watchlist and select "Import" and select the path and file from where the data should be copied. Repeat it for each watchlist with the files you have copied from the other computer.

This is a bit lengthy process but I know only this. There may be a quicker way to do.

In the Database, you have a directory by name "Watchlists" . Just copy paste that.

As I said and I repeat, Reading the documents available at AB site or the help file is a good start.

I thought that most users of Traderji were very competent in usage of AB since a post I had posted about a course in AB was deleted by the moderators.
