Since you are starting afresh, and since you are thinking of investing, I will suggest you to wait till sensex makes a new 52 weeks high. In the mean while do go through the most sought out threads such as Saint's -Teach a man to fish, VV's I can help you with chart reading to name a few.

Best Regards
Coool.

Hi Arpit,

You will require a decent capital to invest in the stock market Rs. 5000 would not be sufficient, even for a start. I guess the best investment route for you would be mutual funds. invest small sums regularly in SIPs in equity oriented funds.

All the best!

Pranay
