I recently attended a technical analysis seminar for a couple of days. I think it was at best an orientation. I may have got certain good basic guidelines but I don’t think that this is good enough to become a professional trader. There is another academy in the United States which has a 7 day training course. What is your view? Are there other training courses in India.?
I think that you too should have a beginners section and an advanced section and if possible the participants in the forum in the same city can perhaps give some practical guidance to beginners at their time and convenience. The good thing about trading is that there is hardly any conflict of interest as one person’s profit cannot create another person’s loss. According to the saying “As Diamond cuts diamond and one hone smooths a second, all the parts of intellect are whetstones to each other and genius is the result of their mutual sharpening.” . Community forums enable just that but for beginners some hands on practical guidance could be a great boon. If there is somebody in Delhi, who can provide good practical guidance, do let me know. |

hirenshah50,
Thank you for your feedback suggestions. I now have a seperate category called "Traderji's Comments" where I will explain various technical analysis terms and trading strategies in relation to the current market conditions. You can read my recent writeup on pennants in relation to the current technical analysis of Reliance Industries. I would also appreciate if you could share your experiences with us with regard to the recent technical analysis seminar you attented. |

I will share my experiences in good time.
Can you give specific answers about your opinion and awareness of other technical analysis courses. Do you conduct them yourselves? Is there anybody here in Delhi who can give some practical guidance? Is it true that 95% of the money lose money in trading- or is it only in Intra-day trading. I am not aware of any specific technical analysis course other than what I read in the papers - BSE conducts them regularly. I do not conduct any courses myself. I am not aware of anybody in Delhi who can provide you with practical guidance, maybe the other community readers from Delhi can help you with that answer. It is true that over 95% of traders (both day and position traders) get wiped out in their first year of trading. |
