The contribution of every individual makes a forum. I do not mind if any members volunteers to contribute trading articles or post put/call ratios for the benefit of other members. As far as trading calls are concerned, you will have to read and/or post messages and decide for yourself as to which calls, etc to follow. |

hi traderji,
in response to a request by a member, i was trying to upload today, the nse codes, company names & industry they belong to. the data i have was in csv (comma separated values) format, but looks like csv attachments were not in the permitted category. i had to convert to txt format before attaching., some times the data may be corrupted by such conversions. most of the software has an option to export to csv files. it is at least as popular as the txt files, if not more. csv files are small and can be easily read by excel and can be inputted into many softwares. i suggest that csv files may be permitted to be sent as attachments. thanks in advance. |

while replying to a post, many members are quoting the original message in full. this makes reading less interesting particularly in the linear mode of viewing the posts. i appeal to members to edit the quoted section to the most relevant part of the original message.
i appeal that the default length of a quote may be limited by traderji to a reasonable limit. i blieve that a quote should be very brief like a bikini, but covering all salient points. did i cross any limit? if so, i'm sorry. thanks. |

Daer Traderji
I have noticed that while posting in a perticular thread boarders dont follow the thread topics and stray far away. Relevancy of the posting to the topic being discussed must be ensured by the boarders. Secondly, if it is possible to give price of the scripts at the time of posting and CMP it would be great help while trying to understand the thread about the script. Thanks Pankaj |

This could be a case in support of what vince was trying to say... of missing the proper link, down the history ! But still, I feel quotes should be used only in brief, that too only when required, just related to the particular point which is being replied. Even reference to post# and date may also be sufficient most of the times. I repeat my appeal to traderji to restrict the length of quoted text to a max of say 500 characters, which will be approximately be 5 lines. Traderji, pl respond and act based on the outcome of this thread. I thank anil for reopening the topic. murthymsr |
