Well, Thanx traderji ,..

But Why cant we have some rules and regulations to post thread. I'd seen some newbies as started to post a new thread on Day to Day bases. There is no difference left. I'd seen seniors like Ashishda, Saint, ajax , Oxy , n many more are busy with either their own thread. or in some active threads. Coz of lot of junk, they cant pay attention to some valuable posts even.

In my views , either we can start a new sub forum for NEWBIES , where newbies can post their views and their new threads. Or moderators should have some power within so that they can delete some useless threads and irrelavent postings.

We can also go for the Rankings, Given by moderators, senior members and ofcourse the super admin Traderji. It should be given on valuable contributions. Not on the number of posts. We need to have some mechanism. Or i afraid , we might loose some senior members and valuable contributors.

Regards,..
Darsh

P.S. --> This is just my personal view, not at all pointing any perticular.

Just have a look at this
http://www.traderji.com/day-trading-...-software.html

How many guys are actual info seekers ,givers and spammers and advertisers ? we get 10s of threads like this every day .

Newbiee has some resposibility and for him to post there is intro section (is it there ? ) .
He can post his intro and ask questions and ppl can guide him there . Also there is a SEARCH BUTTTON,isnt it ? , .Is it there something that is not dicussed here ? .

Coming to pros who joined , so what ? If he is pro and wishes to help to community he would definitely stick around and get familiar and start posting info or helping others .
Its not like he posts all his wisdom in his first thread and vanishes ? does it happen any time ?

40 -50 posts is nothing for newbies , its even easily for pros to make 50 posts in matter of few days .

Seeing all the threads fly around is real pain, good posts are burried in between them .

I dont have any thing to lose or gain from saying all these . Want to see a quality forum.

If you guys are still against it , one suggestion , implement this for 1- 2 months and if depending on feedback it can be removed or continued , could we ?

I think there should be some system to rate each and every post, as is being done for the threads. Members finding that post useful can rate that post. Then there should be system to search rated posts under each category say posts on 'RT data feed'.
There should be a system to delete 'thanks' posts 10 days after writing and writer should classify his post as thanks post at the time of writing or it can be rated as thanks post by other members.
Then there can be rules to delete threads e.g. threads having less than ten posts two months after starting.
Threads inactive for six months or more.
Thirty second limit between searches should be removed.
Regards.

I second. There are just too many junk threads. Or maybe more moderators required like on Elite Trader.

A small beginning towards a practical solution can be made by making the table in the 'Today's posts' & 'New posts' page sortable by the 'Replies' & 'Views' column. (The 'Last Post' column will also have to be a SortBy column in order to restore the default sort).
Similarly, a sort on the 'Thread' column can be used to bring up the most recent threads (however this will require a date & time stamp for the start of a thread if this isn't already maintained internally)

We can also have links like 'Most Viewed', 'Most Active', 'Most Rated' at appropriate (& preferably easily accessible locations). The same can be plugged-in to the Search page as well.

A 'Most reputed' members list, with each ID hyperlinked to thier most recent posts, will also allow a quick check on the recent posts made by our most valuable members. (This will also increase the 'Net worth' of the member reputation system)

Regards

Perhaps the MOST irritating thing which prevents me using TRADERJI quite often is the THIRTY SECOND LIMIT BETWEEN SEARCHES.

why there is a sign of balance on the rightside? is it not for rating the post?

Threads inactive for six months or more.
suppose a popular thread has become inactive for more than six months? like saint wishing to stop posting to his thread "teach a man to fish..."
