Default Regulating Tipsters

Traderji,
The number of people giving trading recommendations in this forum is increasing by the day. However, not all are competent to give advices and it is ultimately the members who follow the advices of these incompetent tipsters who end up in the pits. Hence, on the ground of protecting the interests of some members, it is essential that a person proves his wit in the fundamental or technical analysis section before he/she is allowed to give trading advices. Also, advices must be backed by proper analysis, disclosed. This should not only help protect investor interest but also serve as an excellent record for learning purposes to the students.
I hope something can be done regarding this issue.

Ajay.

I have same thoughts. If every tip analyst attach a chart with his tip alongwith the reason, it is more helpful to everyone to understand & learn the TA.

I understand what you are all getting at. However I would love to do what you have all suggested. But it means I will have to moderate all posts which are posted in this forum. This would be difficult and slow down the flow of posts.

I think an alternative solution would be that all members MUST exercise their right to VOTE a members post using the "User Reputation System". This way one can easily and instantly identify and reward good posts.

Traderji,
Then atleast, anyone wanting to give recommendations should make a post as to why he is superior in his stock selection/timing skills and what basis he is going to give the recommendations before commencing? A thread can be started in the equities section for the same and made sticky.

I agree to oxus......new members seem to come and make calls..and they disappear soon.

there is no way a trader can depend on their calls......and rely on them.

Also one needs to track the stock and see how it behaves...and then invest or trade.

If someone does not like to disclose his techniques...then we cant force him/her to...but if the calls are good and if we are earning money from it......then i dont see any harm in that....and if the person does not disclose his tech...then we could take the opportunity to crack his tech and try to find out his secrets.

But surely i cant trust new commers....

Would it help if we have a separate section for TIPS, just like we have Welcome, The markets, Methods and Strategies...etc.

Under the TIPS CENTRE we can have different heads like : Intraday, Short term, Long Term, Futures, Options, Calls as per FA, Calls as per TA or maybe rumor based call .... etc.

All TIPS must be posted under this only AND
Each post in this section by default should have a statutory warning :
Calls posted here may result in BIG losses too, please recheck the call before investing/trading.

Tips posted elsewhere can be brought to the notice of Traderji and he can close the thread and ask the member to post in this section only.

hi
well this issue which has been put is teh utmost imp one-

1,,many peolpe are coming and giving tips or calls no matter whether they themselve strade or not or whether it si their study or not.,they have any reason or not
2...each memebr should be categorised as seniro /junior by the quality of post or by teh post which has beem helpful to the members by traderji himself
3...the reputatin system is not showing worth because at times people are posting wrong rep to a ny memeber which is really not good demoralising
4...tips cannot be based on charts ,,because some tips are news based /others fundamentally base...hardly people get time to post /attach chart and do all that stuff and leak out their tricks
5..seperate calls scetion should be made out from now on wards ,,ending all teh continued thread based on calls or stock trading
6...and if traderji finds the person just wasting others time /money stop his calls and thread

pls consider these views i think it will be frutiful ,,,u are the moderator but dont eb so moderate....because money counts here everything,,,

no matter who ever os thread /calls are it

sorry if i ahve posted something which has hurt anyone ,,but no intention

renu

i request the senior members to kindly start one thread in which you can tell about those traderji members who have been giving successful tips for a long time now.

you can tell the name of that person and the link to his thread.
then new members will be in a better position to differentiate between "the real good trading tips" and "merely hit and trial tips".

those senior members who have been on tradeji for a long time now, can easily tell the names of successful tips giver.

and it will help a lot.

thanks and regards
