Just so you know NK, this fable was narrated once on SUN TV's "Mangaiyar Choice". I loved it then & I love it now too. So, so relevant always.

Please do keep filling up this Golden Box.

Thanks NK, I simply love this post of your's, especially the one highlighted in the quote. So very true is'nt it, how life kicks you around & you simply have to allow yourself to be buffetted around to re-surface & live to fight another day. Something which reminds me of an early lesson in self-defence; you have to absorb the punch with a backward/sideward moving jaw & you have to roll with the shove/fall. Am getting too martial or violent am I?
Thanks a lot for all kind words. It is your generosity my friend otherwise what I am. Will try my best to keep posting here regularly.

Thanks,
nkpanjiyar

I wanted to change the World
-By Unknown Monk, 1100 A.D.

**********************************************
"When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.

I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.

When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.

Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and i could indeed have changed the world."

Great words for reflection if we rashly attempt to change something or someone else other than ourselves !!!

**********************************************

cheers,

Hi all

This came in my mail and I thought I Could share with you all

Quote:
There was a young boy who used to come for regular practice but always played in the

reserves and never made it to the soccer eleven. While he was practicing, his father used

to sit at the far end, waiting for him.

The matches had started and for four days, he didn't show up for practice or the quarter

or semifinals. All of a sudden he showed up for the finals, went to the coach and said,

"Coach, you have always kept me in the reserves and never let me play in the finals. But

today, please let me play." The coach said, "Son, I'm sorry, I can't let you. There are

better players than you and besides, it is the finals, the reputation of the school is at

stake and I cannot take a chance." The boy pleaded, "Coach, I promise I will not let you

down. I beg of you, please let me play." The coach had never seen the boy plead like this

before. He said, "OK, son, go, play. But remember, I am going against my better

judgment and the reputation of the school is at stake. Don't let me down."

The game started and the boy played like a house on fire. Every time he got the ball, he

shot a goal. Needless to say, he was the best player and the star of the game. His team

had a spectacular win.

When the game finished, the coach went up to him and said, "Son, how could I have

been so wrong in my life. I have never seen you play like this before. What happened?

How did you play so well?" The boy replied, "Coach, my father is watching me today."

The coach turned around and looked at the place where the boy's father used to sit.

There was no one there. He said, "Son, your father used to sit there when you came for

practice, but I don't see anyone there today." The boy replied, "Coach, there is something

I never told you. My father was blind. Just four days ago, he died. Today is the first day

he is watching me from above."

Another one

Quote:
DON'T QUIT

When things go wrong,

As they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far ;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit

It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

Friends,

Want to share that I had been fortunate enough to meet (face to face yesterday) one of the greatest author and selfless contributor of Traderji forum. Guess? He is Saint, friends. Only I can say is that he is very modest and intelligent. It was a great feeling and nice discussions happened. I will always cherish this exclusive moment.

I met him as well yesterday.I came all the way from TVM yesterday to see him with all my technical charts and doubts. He is a great teacher, very patient, very modest.I was impressed before meeting him by his posts and all the more after the discussion.

He had also said how thrilled he was at meeting you on Saturday.I left feeling happy that there was now someone face to face willing to guide me.
