hi,
how can we know if a stock is still on the upward trend or downward trend?
is there any techincal indicators which we can use to confirm trend?

As long as stock makes higher tops and higher bottom,it is in uptrend.
As long as stock makes lower tops and lower bottom,it is in downtrend.

We can confirm it by drawing trendline.

Number of candles shown are very less.If you could provide previous data,
then identification of trend will be easier.

Attached chart shows uptrend.Though at initial stage of chart ,price making
lower tops ,but it is not making lower bottom.And at the end of chart
it is making higher top, So it is uptrend.

but there are three black candles on the last 3 days after a breakout. Could this be a reversal?

No, it is not reversal.

Stock has increased substantially,it is simply a correction or retracement.
But uptrend is yet intact.

any indicator that can help me on looking at trend ?

i have also uploaded the full chart again. pls see if the uptrend is still intact. thanks

See attached chart of sensex.Though sensex will come to 7000 mark,yet long term uptrend is intact.
If you are long term investor,then follow the trend .
