Thumbs up Practicing the Trade

Hello

I am planning to log my trades in Nifty Futures on this thread. I have been reading / talking / studing about the markets for a while. Have also done some paper trading. I have been always reminded, that the real thing is very very different ball game and I do have a healthy respect for that view.

Anyway one things for sure can't experiance "Fire Walking" just by reading about it or imagining however vividly

The best thing I heard about not just trading but life was spoken about 2500 years ago. I feel its most appropriate to start the thread by quoting that.

Quote:
Believe nothing on the faith of traditions,

even though they have been held in honor

for many generations and in diverse places.

Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it.

Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past.

Do not believe what you yourself have imagined,

persuading yourself that a God inspires you.

Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests.

After examination, believe what you yourself have tested

and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

Buddha
Thanks

Hi NB,

Good Luck....and all the best!!

Paper trading is important initially to get one started without the baggage of emotions that money brings with it.....Later we use position sizing rules, trading plan,a long set of rules, etc etc.....all this is done to nullify the impact of the mind, the impact of emotions while trading.

Guess what......you paper trade in the beginning with no money.Later you paper trade with money.....and all this effort and pain in between is to get our minds back into paper trading mode, this time with money.

All the best!
Saint

Hello SAINT

Thanks a lot for everything.

Will always remember that, the key is to get the mind back into paper trading mode.

Thanks
