Course for Investment Professional - LIFA - an Ideal alternative for CFA destination?

#1
Hi Friends

I came to know about a Investment Professional's Program Offered by International Research Association of Cambridge. It offers the Licensed International Financial Analyst(LIFA) Program in Three Stages with different expertise levels. They claim it is the best alternative for CFA Program. The Program Cost also is very less than the CFA Program. Just you can check it in the Website and welcome your comments.

They are also offering Scholarships for the PG's and Phd's in the fees and exam in combination with Prometric. You can also bypass first 2 stages and directly write the 3 stage.

Myself i have registered for the exam, Just visit the page and mail me your comments.

Welcoming your suggestions

Less costly... thats an advantage...
Less rigor... disadvantage
Less recognized as compared to the CFA program... disadvantage

Most of the so-called advantages are pure rubbish... Why would you allow a person to directly sit for the third level? How do you decide if a person is qualified enough to bypass the first two levels?

Most of the "advantages" seem to be on making the exam taking procedure easier, rather than focusing on making the exam preparation rigorous, or speaking about the acceptance of the designation in industry.

I'm not even convinced that this program is an alternative to the CFA program.

Hi!

I have registered for LIFA. Any ideas on how to prepare for the exam?

I found that there is a heavy emphasis on economics. What's your experience?
