Its amazing to learn how different personalities of traders are comming out from this topic. Thanks for your input.

Hello,

Based on my Experience...i truly belongs to forex markets...i have studied all markets stocks, futures, commodities, forex and the reason why i Trade forex i already explained at some other thread.

1A)I trade nearly 16 hours and appointed a employee for another 8 hours.
Actually i automated the every process of trading except the entry.the system will give Alarm about entry but it didn't initiate the Trade.but exits are automatic.

2A)Actually i didn't watch the screen for 16 hours,and only stay alert for 16 hours,during this time ....i do..
1)cooking new recipies
2)drink lot of coffee.
3)Reading Books (off-course related to trading).
4)spend some time at traderji
5)watching youtube videos.......

During trading hours, i do alt+tab.. Arrey bhai i will be at office.. just trade for one hour..Will look if my boss is out then start trading...
Very risky as that might lead to improper analysis and sometime losses as well. For profitable trading, one should have healthy environment as well.Do less trades but it should be profitable.

Hello,

yes...ur right...different personalities.....different Markets.....different strategies...different trading conditions...... different risk parameters.... and obviously.... different returns(negative and positive).

the only thing is, one has pick only one thing from these different things.

I really Appreciate u for putting this Thread,it will lead faster to develop Trading Psychology...by knowing different Minds. This kind of Threads are not there when i signed up for Traderji,in those days and now also people only talk about strategies, entries, setups, systems, picking right stocks.....but these all has very little impact on Trading results........

when u know what mistakes ur making,is this market suitable for me or not,is iam taking risk more than iam afford to take..what is avg win and what is my avg loss, whether iam prepared for worst case, whether i have backup system...these kind of questions definitely lead to good trading results.

Regards,

Well depending on your trading skills you should choose your type. If you are beginner player then you should be day trader and do not try to be night trader but if you are professional trader then you can be day trader or night trader.

Some commodity traders trade 12 hours+ 5 days a week. For me it is a challenge to be in front of the screen 9.15 to 3.30 as it is psychologically draining. In fact, that's one reason that I am more inclined to take positional trades than day trade.

What is your experience.? Please answer. This poll will not be based on numbers, but on trader's experiene and psychology :

The question is :

1. How many hours you trade.?
2. What do you do during that time besides watching the screen.? e.g Loggin on to traderji/Chatting with fellow traders/watching TV etc.
Yes am trading almost 9.15 to 11.00PM....:)...In between I always try to login TJ and checking threads which I interested...also check my mails etc..1 or 2 times go to facebook a/c ....also try to read some books in between..listening music..IMO boring comes 9 PM to 11 PM timings..
Yes inetially its too much dificult to sit infront of screen this length timings...but now am slowly adapting it :)

when i am not in any trade , price is going through consolidation phase ,volume is very low , there is no pivot near cmp above/below which i can make any entry - i become bore, in this situation then sometime i go to sleep for 1 hour or go to watch tv and in the mean time sometimes i miss very good entry.

seniors please suggest how i over come this problem ?
