Hello friends,

Day before yesterday, I was watching the movie 'Bangkok Dangerous' starring Nicolas Cage. His character is of a professional hitman. There were certain 'Rules' which he abides to keep him in top in his profession. Here are the exact words ...

I was taught four rules...

One, "Don't ask questions".

There is no such thing as right and wrong.

Two, "don't take an interest in people outside of work".

There is no such thing as trust.

Three, "Erase every trace".

Come anonymous and leave nothing behind.

Four, "Know when to get out".

Just thinking about it.

Means it's time

before you lose your edge,
before you become a target.

So you look for the right opportunity.

Nothing too risky.

Get the money
and disappear forever.

And then, it hit me suddenly !! What a close resemblance this has to the trading scenario!!

What are your thoughts friends? How could this be put into the context of trading?

Your opinion about the market doesn't matter. The market doesn't care what you think. Only the market is always right. Our opinions might not be.

It's a different thing to prove yourself to be correct and totally different to trade profitably.

Two, "don't take an interest in people outside of work".

There is no such thing as trust.
Here, the people outside work are the tips/subscription providers & so called 'experts' on TV and their opinions about the market who never put their money in risk.

Three, "Erase every trace".

Come anonymous and leave nothing behind.
Hard to relate this one. Might be the stealth hunter.

Four, "Know when to get out".
How true!! Really perfect in trading scenario -

"Know when to get out"

Before you even take a market position, you MUST know when to abandon the position incase you're wrong.

Just thinking about it.

Means it's time

before you lose your edge,
before you become a target.
If you're in doubt with your market position, you need to know what you must do. When in doubt, time to get OUT.

Else, you become the prey and you're money is TAKEN.

So you look for the right opportunity.

Nothing too risky.

Get the money
and disappear forever.
You WAIT for the right setup. No action before that: "It was never my thinking that made me money but my sitting tight." - Jesse Livermore

Heard about Low Risk High Probability setups??

dear friend,

seems to be correct from an ego-centric, atheist point of view
