If you go by the stats, there is considerable risk in driving, but how many have psychological issues doing it? Trading is the same, its like driving on a road which you have done a thousand times. However psychological blabber gets the most audience since ppl have been told that something is wrong with them, that not putting on a trade has to do with some deep seeded subconscious resonance. But hardly you will find ppl talking about a non-random, fully tested, methods based on market truths, reasoning or simplicity.

Yes indeed a process with an EDGE is all important. No amount of psychology, risk management etc. can substitute for the EDGE. The latter at best can help you survive, keep afloat but true success (in the form of prolific, consistent wealth creation) demands the winner's edge more than anything else.

Regards,
Kalyan.

Indeed, bottomline is - develop a method, test it, papertrade it, trade small and then trade it as a machine. The only possible psychological problem here could be a nagging wife

If anyone has gone through the process and is absolutely sure they have an edge, jst read Douglas's Trading in the Zone, thats all the psychological ammunition you will need.
