No offense to anybody but I consider all this to be POP Psychology.Unless one has spent a year or two working on a method, testing it, reworking it and then papertrading it for months, there is absolutely no question of psychological issues. Its like a Civil Engineering Student having psychological issues building a dam after 2 weeks of classes.

If you go by the stats, there is considerable risk in driving, but how many have psychological issues doing it? Trading is the same, its like driving on a road which you have done a thousand times. However psychological blabber gets the most audience since ppl have been told that something is wrong with them, that not putting on a trade has to do with some deep seeded subconscious resonance. But hardly you will find ppl talking about a non-random, fully tested, methods based on market truths, reasoning or simplicity.

CV:

You may not be affected by psychology....accepted....U are our traders verion of Superman....

But show me one person not affected with psychology in trading and I will show you a million who are......

Your example on driving is a good one and all traders including me want to reach that status, whereby we can trade while maybe joking with our spouses, listening to radio mirchi, without being stressed.

Ps: I already listen to music around mid day.......does that mean I am halfway there?

There was no reason to play personal there ( superman point ), I am working day and night to come up with a pure trading bot, still not there yet after 4 years.

I am not saying whether psychology is an issue or not, I am saying tht unless a trader has a quantifiable, better than random EDGE, there is absolutely no point in talking about psychology. If a trader can prove whether he has an EDGE, I will cure him off his psyche issues in 10 mins, honest. But how many who claim to have psych. issues can do that? You tell me.

Hmm..You might be referring to my line "I will cure him off his psyche issues in 10 mins, honest" .Basically I would attach electric rods to the persons balls and push the button few times.Thts my patented psychological treatment
