1: i have not told that what i will do with a 20% wining system. ratan said me that he has a 20% wining system, but trading is not advisable with this system. thats why i said, what i will do with your system if it is not useful for trading. thats all.

2: ratan told that he is using a 30% wining system with 1:2.5 risk/reward ratio. i agree with ratan. real money can be earned with these system. in a 30% wining system, there should be 70 losing trades & 30 wining trades. so i always have to prepare to take 7-8 losses in a row, even more of than. is nt it? thats why i said that "too many guys cant afford 7-8 losses in a row". thats a psycological problem, nothing else. that not means that money shoudn;t be earned with ratan's system.

thats the simple sentences i have said, dont makt it toooooo complicated with your expectancy theory.

hope that calrifies ...
Sir
We are not making it complicated, ratan said he had a sophisticated martinagle approach to his system and thats all we want to know.

And again expectancy is not something very complicated, its just about averages which all good traders know very well about.

Not at all, its so boring. I am constantly on lookout to distract myself during markets..tried chatting with people but only found conceited newbies. After a few years in the business trading is like watching paint dry, nothing exciting about it.

whoosh!!!!!!! thats a lot of trades!

Anyways congrats on keeping records, more so, for keeping a track of where u went wrong.

Tum tiko ge . likh lo.

one advice...it takes quite a long time to learn...if you trade at 10 times leverage, there are chances that one big price shock can drive u out of business. come down to 4 times, pref 2 times, till u improve trading.

at least u keep records, very few if any traders keep records

best of luck

Hello CV
I had posted a message which i delted after a few mins to which ratan has replied.
well i am a a newbie in trading & beeen unsuccesful for 8 months now in daytrading, u can call me a breakeven trader at best.
My trading plan is very simple
1. i list the top 50 most active stocks
2. whether to go ongor short can be at best said to be arbitrary , either i follow the trend oe i look for the path of least resisitance
3. my trades dont last for more than 10 mins at best normally 1-2 mins
i know with what i am doing i cant survive long
i am posting my trades done today
U r right ratan with 10 times leverage one big price swing can wipe me out, but there is a peculiar thing with my broker i had 10000 in my a/c today so i can take a position of 100000 this will remain so thru out the day whthet i suffer a loss or profit, at one point after my indiacement trades i was doen 3000rs but still i can trde with 100000 posotion
BTW CV & Ratan normally hw many trades u do in a day

i think u r using the cash credit provided by ur brokerage house which is very dangerous, cause i suffered heavy losses a couple of days ago while using the cash credit system because i was unable to transfer from intraday to cash when the price went down from my purchase price. i think its best to use ur own money for trading so at least u can transfer ur stock from intraday to cash n wait for a couple of days till the stock has gone up again n make some profit also, i hope im not wrong.

Thumbs up Re: i love day trading

P.n. : This Method Is Just For The Discusson. I Have Never Tried It Before.
I Just Went Thru This Thread And Worked Out This Method. All Types Of Suggestions Are Invited.
Keep Aside 10,000 Your Total Risk. And Play This Sets.start From The Set-1
Brockerage And Other Charges Are Not Taken Into Account.
Risk/reward = 1:2.5 For Each Set.

Set Risk Total Risk Target Reward

1 400 400 1000.00 1000.00

2 575 975 1437.50 1037.50

3 800 1775 2000.00 1025.00

4 1120 2895 2800.00 1025.00

5 1570 4465 3925.00 1030.00

6 2200 6665 5500.00 1035.00

7 3080 9745 7700.00 1035.00

Start From The Set- 1 . If You Hit The Target In Any Set Start afresh From Set-1.

If You Lose All The 7 Sets In A Row, Consider Yourself Not Worthwhile For Day Trading Or Review Your System.

Any Suggestions To Improve?

Dear HMP
I did not much get ur point.
I always keep a stoploss of 0.5% which i trail
Now trading ub stocks like redington, GBN Cinemax etc my stops are hit very frequently
I will reduce my leverage to 5 times
But why in ur set 2 & after that risk & total risk are different
Also another question hw long on an average ur trades last when daytrading
Thnx
Naveen

Total Risk In Set-2 Is Loss In Trade-1+ Loss In Trade -2 If Ur Stoploss Gets Hit In Set-2. That Is 400+575=975.
Duration Of Trade Is Till Ur Stoploss Gets Hit Or Acheived Target.

Hmp.
