trying to make 30 points in crude oil per day for 10 trading days

#1
Hi friends,

It always seems easy to make 30 points in crude oil i.e. capturing a 0.5% move in crude oil per day , but the sad part is it seems easy after the day is over. Trading at the extreme right corner of the chart is not the same as running a strategy on yesterday's historical price. So i knew this but , out of a discussion with a friend , he challenged to make 30 points per day in Crude oil for 10 consecutive days and i said i am taking the challenge. So this will be my trading diary of next 10 trading days. Lets see how it will go. If i win in this, then i will post contract notes also. If i dont win, i know nobody bothers.

Ok but all the write up has a purpose too, if some of you can share some of views regarding my trial , to help me in achieving this , i will be thankful. Because the crux of discussing online is to share some thing which we experience and to learn from those who might already experienced.

This thing starts from monday.
Thanks for reading,
Alex

Ten trading days is a very short time. Before asking me about the strategies im following to do this etc, i think you should look for what happens actually after 10 trading days. If i dont win , you are wasting your time bcoz i also don't know abt the strategy , which you thought that i might be using to achîeve this. So , lets c .

I don't have much experience about trading but you can try to see the international commodity market as the opening market rate for Indian Crude oil tends to fluctuate or rise some level above the closing market rate of the International Crude Oil. You can also keep a track on both the market as the chart trend or pattern sometimes remain the same ...............

i think i must be honest enough to tell what has happend.
i lost the challenge as i was unable to make 30 points on the first day itself thats on monday 23-12-2013 ,forget abt 30 points, the day ended in -15 points.

so friends, thats it.
start again, with smaller targets.

Maybe "no loss" for 10 days, or maybe max 1 loss day per week. Move it up to average 5 pts per day for 15 days.. like that. Maybe after 3-4 months you can again tackle the target of 30 pts per day.

PS : I don't know about your trading experience. Ignore my words if you have the experience and a defined strategy. With a strategy you would have a loss limit, but maybe no profit limit.

thanks for writing.
but at the end of 10 trading days , i want to put my all trades in this thread (net price averaged for that day (buy and sell)) , so that , some one may learn from that, .... for good only. to look and learn from others experiences which usually called as mistakes.
