Derivative Markets

Surprise!! Surprise!!

I always thought that American and European markets are the places for traders to be - in terms of liquidity and turnover (ignoring taxation and costs). Going through the data at 2015 IOMA Derivative Market Survey, I am surprised that NSE was not all that bad a place in 2015.

- NSE has liquid Single Stock Futures, with SBIN, ICICIBANK, RELIANCE, doing very well in 2015

- Nifty Index Futures are liquid, but China's CSI 300 is more so.

- Chicago (CBOE and CME) has very liquid Stock and Index Options, Currency Derivatives and Commodities. China is also liquid for many Commodities.

Our contract sizes are probably much smaller.

What I want to do...

His name is Rakesh, trades only Nity Futures, uses a dual time frame of 3 min and 5R. Trades using ema21 of rsi-5 and stoch-15,3. Uses the combination in the best way possible. Looks for divergences and continuation patterns. By far the best scalper i have seen till date. Takes small profits and very fast at getting out of bad trades.

When he got confident about his trading method, he opened an account with investbulls. They give unbelievable leverage. 5 K for 1 lot of nifty intraday. Brokerage is 1/2 paise, payable in advance in slabs of 5 K. Started with 1 lot of mini. tgt was 100 points. Every 100 point he doubled his quantity. Always kept 100 points as buffer. MM was every time he lost 2 days in a row, he would reduce his lot size. he never lost 2 days in a row.

Stress of high volumes got to him. Had to be hospitalised and after 4 month or so, decided to cool down, does 20 to 40 lots intraday. Recently bought a bunglow at nasik, girlfriend runs a ngo.

He uses amibroker, data provider is manshiRT, investbulls has real fast odin, 1 sec refresh, so doesn't pay for the data service also.

His wave analysis is superb in terms of time wise correction on positional nifty.
This is what I want to be (most of it, at least).... hardly any losing days, and superlative returns. Which trader wouldn't want to trade like this?

Bro, to achieve this we need to be a scalper na? Only scalpers can hope to have above 80% winning days. Sorry if my understanding is wrong. It would be good to be in that position as you were saying, attractive aint it ;)
