Constructive Criticism on the new strategy

Hi Varun,

Scaling in and scaling out is my preferred method apart from pyramiding as they use it while trading my own account. Since, I am now trying for a funded account I have to abide by the firm's rules and it is difficult to do the same with the current account restriction as my back testing was showing not encouraging results while trying it. So, I am currently trading this method with the predefined entry and exit techniques.
I heard they provide custom combine for the right candidate.
Did you ask them ??

That is not available now as per my understanding. Even if you get a custom combine, you have to follow the original rules in ftp and funded account, so I will try to reach the profit target within the original set of parameters.

You do not need to sacrifice your trading style for this. Just blend this approach in your trading and you would be good. This is essentially for money management. It is not a setup to trade. (earning decent amount on half the size is far better than encountering frequent SL's because of bringing sl to BE)
That seems very valid in this case, I will go back to my trading plan and check on the risk management. Thanks for your kind and relevant advise.

I am trying to find that in my notes bro, will check the notes and respond to you.

For the first trade I came to the conclusion as the pull back was weak and another swing low is formed at a higher price than the previous swing low denoted by the brown line presents the evidence of strength where prices were showing failure to continue pattern below the previous swing low.

For the second trade, it was a similar pattern as first trade, the evidence of strength was shallow pull back after formation of swing high.

I have to analyze the following for the weekend:

1) Does taking trades only in the direction of long term trend prove to be beneficial by analyzing backtested and forward tested results.

2) Does taking trends only in the direction of short term trend prove to be beneficial by analyzing backtested and forward tested results.

3) Is it better to leave the strategy as it is without changing anything and just modify the risk parameters.

As 20 trading days would be over by today, I would be having sufficient forward tested data to come to a conclusion along with the backtested results for 60 trading days.

There is difference in win rate between forward tested and back tested results.

I will take all the learning of the past 20 trading days before trying out the next combine. I will test the results and compare the charts of last 20 trading days and finalize the trading strategy. Even though a losing streak might be standard within my trading strategy, I need to analyze it without any bias over the weekend.

Thank you everyone for providing me with ideas to improve myself as well as my performance. Please keep it coming as I would be grateful for the same.

Train Hard but Fight Smart.
