Hard to say anything unless you brief about your background and how you have tried for it.

hi,
i am a forex trader. i trade forex on intraday basis. i m able to make 5-10-15%profit per month.
i can trade gold silver & crude oil based on charts & by tracking $ index.
i wanted to know about other avenues in commodity trading.
like arbitrague, jobbing ( i dont know wat exactly is it) etc. i also read somewher tht there r firms who teach abt this or who employ commodity traders. are there any such firms in mumbai.
thnx

For arbitrage, jobbing there are plenty of firms.
But if you are good at directional/speculative trading I'll suggest don't go for arbitrage.
Capital base will not be a problem at all, if you are good at trading, rather you'll have a choice what type of contract agreement suits you best.

For Trading Firms contact me through PM with a little detail on your background, I'll strongly dislike if someone associates me promoting any firm.

Cheers.

Thnx Raunak, trader21.
I am plannin to start on my own but prior to that i want to work somewhere to gain professional edge.
Currently i am trading forex & doing quite good but in the long term i am worried about $ value so do not want my whole capital in foreign denominated currencies.
Thats why i was plannin to diversify into commodities.
thnx

Define professional edge plz?

If you are worried about Dollar depreciation against Inr then why not hedge it ( maybe selling some dollars long term).

Happy trading.

hi,
i think trading from home & trading from office is different.
by workin at some firm i want to get a idea of the professional environment.
for ex. how a trading firm works, what does a dealer do, what is arbitrage, how to do this currencing hedging etc.
i am still amature at this stuff. I only have good knowledge of technical analysis.
thnx
