For investment banking they typically look for CFA + FRM/PRM. Maths course will not be much useful unless you want to become a quant.

And yes, be very careful for you choice of education. You wont like to repeat a curriculum just because your certification is non-accredited :)

I've decided to give the first module of PRM, Finance Theory, Financial Instruments and Markets.

Could you tell me , how much time do I need to prepare for it. Is there anything , I should keep in mind ?

One should also know about the duration of different courses because these also matter a lot..
CFA, FRM etc have a duration of more than one year. Technically, these are charters and not courses. One has to clear different levels, which increase in difficulty gradually.
These charters are respected world wide and preferred by many recruiters.

However, because one requires atleast 2-3 years of theoretical exams and then some years of practical work experience, people usually begin preps for these some years before they would be actually seeking placements (like start of their MBA or end of engineering etc.)

Then, there are certifications and courses like Finitiatives courses, NCFM and IIBF courses.

The duration of these courses (particularly Finitiatives and NCFM depends on the aspirant himself, duration ranges from 1 week to 2-3 months) as these can be taken as per the convenience of the aspirant (which is not the feature with CFA etc).

Also, some of these certification holders (particularly Finitiatives certifications - as mentioned on their website) are preferred by different FIs
