Hi all,

I have asked this query in few other threads too but failed to get a satisfactory answer, so opening up this new thread in a hope to get an answer.

I am a PA trader:

Now the problem I am facing is unlike a AFL based trader where a simple AFL can scan a bunch of stocks to find a desired list of stocks in a PA there is no such method. Even if it were I wont use that.

So whats the best way to get a list of investable/tradable stocks?

Do one scan daily 100 charts?

Or look for top gainerr/lossers/voluime buzzers etc?

If you are a PA trader then best thing to do is either stick with indices (I would recommend NF) or max 4-5 high beta stocks + indices. Anything beyond is almost useless for PA traders coz moves are either manipulated too much or pattenrs, BO etc do not sustain as much.

Manish bhai I am talking in terms of investments positional and swing trades.

Indices are good to gauge the trend and day trading and a bit of swing trading but I want to play stocks from 1 month to long to long term (long term depends upon the stock (fundamental sector etc...)

For example I know SKS and Wockpharma and Arvind are good trading stock and not investment stock so I will buy them with 1/2 month or target based view...

While I will buy Cipla for a long term view....

Stick with high beta stocks from the Nifty Index. For catching correct price action ,it is necessary to hear, feel and understand the stock behavior.

This will not be possible if you keep on jumping from one stock to another.

A very good link for Swing trading

Even I am looking for a good solution for this.
Presently I'm maintaining a trading diary on my mobile/laptop wherein I note the stocks, along with their buy/sell levels, in which I am expecting a substantial move to happen in few trading sessions.
