Super trend with ema...

dear all...recently i was going thru various threads of traderji and i had come across a excellent strategy made by Mr. kuldeep handa.. where he is using super trend indicator with ema of high and low of 65 period in 10 mins charts..

this thread was some how closed but when i tried to follow this strategy in 15 mins.. its giving excellent result.. can some seniors please share their views on how this strategy is effective ?? or how we can still improve it ..

and kuldeep ji .. i am really saluting you for this simple theroy and expecting much more knowledge from you in future.. hope u will come up with such simple strategies in future also ...!!!

MDF, If you look at any strategy lately, all are showing excellent results. Yes, Kuldeep thread was good and as is with most systems they are at their best when mkt is in trending mode as at present.

I have tested it with ema filter, it helps in reducing wipsaws but u LL also lose some points during trending days.. Over all profit with ema filter is lesser when compared with super trend without ema filter. Tested wit 5 years data

also what i have modified to it is that if any one turns negative when i am in buy i exit once .. i again enter when again both the conditions match i mean supertrend is showing buy and close is above high of 65.. if some one can make a backtest model of it I am sure it provides good results...

for the mindset of indian investors.. only system which can work which do not erase the capital of the client much where system % drawdawn is very much less say 10 -20 %. .coz people will trade only once they see that their capital is still safe.. if capital starts down even if its the highest returns system we dont have guts to follow it..

can anybody plz tell me how to plot ema on amibroker afl...i tried a lot not able to plot in parameter it shows only atr period ,and if we add from formula editor it will show on downside as a indicator not on chart plz help guys...:annoyed:

e45 = EMA(C,45);
Plot(e45,"E45",colorGreen);

change 45 to whatever number you want and color to whatever color you want

Hi,

Kuldeep has changed his ema from 65 to 89. He runs a thread in icharts forum.
Do chk it out.
