i dont know if the topic is alive or dead. i want to ask mr saint the correlation between fractals as discussed by bill williams & his pivot point system he uses for finding pivots(specially the hand analogy he uses). as discussed in the meet his pivot points sounded very similar to the fractals.if tht holds true then the chaos theory holds true which unfortunately i did not find any takers to that system.i also dont have the stuff with me to backtest this complex system.

The topic is very much alive and now kicking too after Saint's words in Kolkata.

I do not know anything about Fractals as far a 'syte to back test' here is my 2 bit : My humble opinion after looking at the charts (after hearing Saint on Pivots at Kolkata) is that it is more of a "visual assessment" to find Pivots Points and feel no explration can find out for you the stocks which might have broken out of Pivot points, nor I feel it is possible to mark by any MS EXPERT the Pivot points in a chart in Metastock.
I do not use AdGet, where I am told Pivot points are easly marked by the software.
One thing I am convinced : The system works really good if done with discipline and patience. The back tests in a few shares and on Random selected days gave really good results.

Fractals as appearing in Chaos Theory and Pivots have no corrleation among themselves except within the broad periphery of Chaos Theory which says that patterns tend to form when thousands of variables interact among themselves. If that broad view of Chaos Theory is applied then the entire technical analysis can be covered under Chaos Theory.
