Does anyone know about this W. D. Gann , I've tried finding about about his methods but nost places say "he never disclosed them", all i found was the Gann square and fan, the whole story seems to fishy to me with his application of the laws of vibration. How can you apply vibration or SHM (simple harmonic motion ... for the non science ppl) to stocks?

Anyway check out this qoute

"Gann's forecasts of price movements and his ability to multiply money was mind-boggling, not only for traders of that era but by any standard of today. For example, he would predict that a stock that was trading at 145 would go to 164-7/8 but not to 165, and it would do exactly that."

Well, All I can say that you must be fairly new to the game, because you can belong to a camp which thinks Gann was a fraud or you can belong to a camp believing that he was god's own gift to trading.. but you cannot got anywhere without hearing his name mentioned..

He was one of the escoteric traders combing evrything from Astrology to price action into his methods.. and I am sure you can find plenty of websites which give at least some of his methods... cant remember any names offhand, but will post them for you if I remember..

I find some of his Ideas on the basic stuff as to drawing trendlines and finding dominant "slope" of the markets pretty interesting and there are plenty of big traders who look at levels thrown by gann's analysis with at least some respect..

p.s: Do a google search on "Dynamic Gann Levels" and see if you find anything interesting..

Its very interesting, after delving a little deeper into the subject there doesn't seem to be any hocus pocus involved or none that I have come across as yet.

Some things are incidental without any logical reason but just coincidence somewhat like the fibonacci series apeearing in nature, no real reson behind it.

For those of you interested, I've found a book called "unpublished works of W. D. Gann" there is no copyright so I'm not violating any laws and this dosen't amount to piracy. Its basically a collection of his notes looks more or less typed on one of those old typeset typewriters and scanned.

Gann, W.D. - Unpublished Stock Market Forecasting Courses.pdf

Nevertheless if it is against the rules I apologise & request Traderji to delete the link.
