Trending Sectors Statistics?
Hi,
For Bank Sector, We Have Bankex, For Pharma-bsehc, But For Cement,auto,batteries, How Do We Know Whether The Sectors Are Trending Or Not? Does Anyone Know Any Sites Or Software That Provides The Above Information. Seniors, Kindly Note. Regards, Sonu M.

It is a major effort to create particular sector indices. Basically it entails taking the market leaders of that particular sector, and creating a composite.
To have an exact sector index, we also need to apply weightages according to their market capitalisation. That by itself is a major effort, which is carefully maintained by specialised companies. If you go to the BSE or NSE websites, you will know how indices are computed. Dusant.
