The standard parameters for most technical indicator are the default values in MetaStock. I also suggest you to read the online version of Technical Analysis from A to Z by by Steven B. Achelis as most of the technical indicaors are covered by him.

Hi,
I've been trading for a few years now but without any fixed strategy. Any pointers on what are good methods and indicators to follow?
I'm interest in longer term plays or swing trading holding positions for over a few days.
