Hi,
I want to direct it to senior members. Could you suggest ten stocks to follow that would be a good representation of the stock market, be very liquid and also be fairly volatile? Thanks in advance |

Thank you Vince. I am completely new to Indian stock market. Can you be a little more specific. S&P 500 has 500 stocks, S&P100 has 100. I have no idea which index to look at and whick stocks therein may be good picks. Some of you may have your own favorite stocks. Can you share those?
Thanks |

Hi Shamim,
The Sensex has only 30 stocks. You could take a look at the sectoral leaders which would satisfy your criteria. |

Hi Traderji,
Can't thank you enough for your help; couldn't have gleaned this gem of information on my own. One thing intrigued me though. Why do I have to wait for the correction to be over to go long; is short selling prohibited in Indian stocks? Thanks in advance. |
