Dear Copper,
I trade from my house seeing the chart. To apply yr tactics in intraday,to know the lowest in the first 30 mts,we require the chart which is not accessible nowadays, both in NSE as well as BSE.Also, one could not be sure as to whether the low shown in the price chrt was actually traded or not. In such a senerio, how do i proceed? Best of lucks, ranga |

Dear Ranga,
I too trade from home. I get my chart from nse (as i do not trade bse for intraday). why cant you get chart? because of internet speed? or something else? I have not faced any problem for accesing chart. One problem is here though that you can not track more 2-3 stocks at a time. Or you can go to any local broker. if you can enroll with one they can provide this data. Ranga Bhai, one more thing as everything in this world, this can be true for this method also. Till now it is working for me. My request is to do paper trade with this method for 2-3 days. I have done exactly this. BTW i still do paper trading, but my paper is printed by RBI and ICICI. ![]() Best Wishes CopperDesk. Last edited by copperdesk; 22nd May 2006 at 10:02 PM. |

Hello ronald and copperdesk,
i have gone through the posts above and the method looks intresting. i have some doubts though. if at any point in the day i see the quotes of any stock to be as given below prev close= 100 open today=110 high today= around 110 low today = 99 present price=109. How should we trade in such stock. is there any guarentee that the stock will come back to 99 again considering that the stock has already covered the gap. I have observed many stocks atleast to paper trade but could not find any because i see that the stock would already have completed the targets. Plz help Satish... |

Hi TeraHZ
I assume your figure(110-99) is taken at 10.25AM in the example. In that case at 110.50 you go long and at 98.50 you go short. Never play between 99-110. Then it can be a gamble. Take a real case, ACC on friday 19th May it touched a high of 820 and low of 812. I short it at 811 later cover at 780 or so. Is it clear now? If not please tell. Before investing real money try this on paper for 2-3 days. Best of luck. CopperDesk. |

hello Mr. copperdesk,
thanks for ur quick reply. Anyway is there any logic behind u choosing the time 10:25 AM. i also observe that almost many stocks cover any gaps whether higher or lower within the first half hour or so. So should we trade only in the first half hour for guarenteed targets. After that the stock movement slows down a bit. Satish... |

Dear TeraHZ,
DO NOT TRADE BEFORE 10.30AM in any case (following this method or not). 10.25 or first 30 minutes is set by the person who has invented this theory. I think point behind this is historically stocks tends fill the gap in first 30 minutes itself most of the time. I have watched the believed that it is somehow true. So 9.55 to 10.25 is rate/mood watching, after 10.30 it is trading time. CopperDesk. |

hi copper, im new 2 the forum i read the topic posted by Ronald. It says that u should short the stock which opens up high. Check out the first page which says If a stock opens at 100 and the day high is 100, and the previous close is 96, you can short sell the stock around 99.70 with a stoploss of 1 rupee, since the stock would invariable come down to 96 levels to fill the gap. So if the stock already fills up the gap by 10:25, wass the point? Nxt iv hrd that yes you should wait for 5-10 mins but not till 10:25 becs the most actively traded time in any market is the first hr of opening.
Thanks |
