Hi All,

I read on the net that martin pring is coming to mumbai for delivering a Two day course on technical analysis. Looks like a nice option but it is way to expensive. it is for 595 Uk pounds per person for the 2 day course. :) told u it was steep. Cannot go myself but thought some ppl might be interested so putting it up here.

Martin Pring was scheduled to come to Mumbai in May 2006. So was Jeffrey Kennedy. The reasons for their "non appearance" were not explained.

Maybe this time around, Mumbaikars could turn lucky.

Hi Everybody,
I have attended quite a few seminars and have spent a sizeable sum on them. There is nothing you can't learn by selecting a few good books on the subject of your interest, reading them diligently and formulating your own plan of action. Moreover in the age of internet; you can get an awful lot of classy material for free if you look hard enough. Most of the seminars are hyped up in a way that makes you feel that you are missing out on a great deal if you don't attend.
My advice is to think extra hard before you write that cheque.
Good luck,
Shamim

Hi Shamim,

Couldnt agree more as even i have learnt the hard way that there is no short cut and these seminars do not teach you anything. Maybe if u are already familiar with TA then some advance courses might teach u and update u about new indicators otherwise they are not of much use.

the point is more to meet a few people & maybe form some repo rather than learn much... you never know 10K could reward you if you click right, its the people you meet which could be more interesting than pring himself since many like minded people will meet right
